Indonesian Army tested the TRLG-122 laser-guided artillery rocket fired from ROKETSAN’s ITBM-600 MLRS, set to use the BORA TBM and various artillery rockets.
Indonesia has become the first known export customer of ROKETSAN’s TRLG-122 laser-guided artillery rocket with the test from ROKETSAN's MLRS platform.
The small-calibre artillery rocket was fired from the ITBM-600 MLRS, primarily acquired to use the BORA TBM, based on ROKETSAN’s flexible MLRS platform capable of using different types of artillery rockets.
TRLG-122 is the laser-guided variant of the TRG-122 GNSS-guided artillery rocket, also forming the basis for the UAV-122 short-range aeroballistic missile in terms of airframe.
The laser-guided artillery rocket with a CEP of two meters can reach a range of 35 km, and each vehicle can carry up to 24 rounds (12x2 pods).
With the presence of a UAV for terminal guidance, TRLG-122 can be used against point targets or moving ones thanks to laser guidance.
ROKETSAN has also developed the larger TRLG-230, the laser-guided variant of its TRG-230 medium-range artillery rocket with a range of 70 km.
